According to Sebastian's excellent openobd website there are 7 options for seat belt warnings on B7's:

0 = none

1 = Europe driver only, permanent light, beep for 91 seconds

2 = old US/Canada driver only, 6 second light and beep

3 = NAR US/Canada driver only, permanent light, beep every 30 seconds

4 = Europe driver & front passenger, permanent light, beep for 91 seconds

5 = old US/Canada driver & front passenger, 6 second light & beep

6 = NAR US/Canada driver & front passenger, permanent light, beep every 30 seconds

What coding have you got (it's the penultimate digit xxx?x in the coding of module 17)? And what actually happens?

My 2006 RS4 (UK) is coded 1, but I don't get any beep at all just the permanent light. I'd like to re-code it to 4 or 6, but would like some feedback first.

TIA

I turned it off for a friend in his new RS4. All I did was subtract 2 from the code within "Address 17 - Instruments". This got rid of the beep and light. If I was you I'd just take it to the dealer and let them sort it. As it's not working as it should then it should be FOC.

I discovered at the weekend that you only get the beep when moving so it's working as Audi UK want it to, but not as I want it to!

If you alter the adaptation, you can easily put it back to what it was if it's not to your satisfaction. Have a play!
