vcds issue with dpf

everytime i try do a dpf regen i go into security access,login etc.......get on the drop down menu,and go on to service regen of dpf,it says aborted due to safety reasons.


Anyone help?........2009 cr tdi a4

I would say that the loading limit has probably been exceeded. If the DPF is too blocked and you try a forced regen it can damage the engine / burn the car down as the DPF will get too hot.
What is the level of soot showing.

got a reading with vcds today...........particle filter,oil ash volume 0.00 l

particle filter,soot mass calculated 5.73g

particle filter,soot mas measured 9.239

make any sense? dont know what i shold be looking at exactly.

Those readings are low and well under maximum readings. why are you trying to force a regeneration of the DPF.

i was told it needs to be done........which reading should i be keeping my eye on? iS that the reason i cant do a regen 'while standing on idle' ?

The soot levels are too low to do a forced re-gen.
