Can someone help me please,i`ve just got hold of a obd-II cable and have a copy off Vag-com,How do i reset the service light on a 2004 a4 Tdi 130bhp.Please Help.

I think that it is a long life service,not to sure really. how can i tell.sorry to be so vague. many thanks for getting back to me.

Not too sure for the A4, but it worked on my a3.

Connect OBD lead and start Vagcom

Then go to:

Select Control Module > [Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Adaptation - 10]

and then go to:

Channel 02 - set to 0 to reset

You shouldn't need vagcom to do it matey. It should say in your audi manual.

It does for most audi's anyhow.

to reset to fixed servicing you can do it yourself using the dash stalk buttons, but I believe Longlife reset can only be done via computer
