Code Help

Hi all,

I had a Emissions Control System Fault warning light on my 2010 A3 2.0tdi 140 BE last week after a long trip to abeerdeen and back but it cleared itself later on. Yesterday however it came back up, I managed to find someone at work who did a quick scan on it for me and gave me code

4871 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling Valve Control
P2425 00 [175] - Open Circuit
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Mileage: 66218km

I've tried to Google it to see what actually needs fixed/replaced but can't seem to find any more info on it...can anyne help?

Had a search on there but P2425 doesn't seem to exist Haha just my luck

EGR valve - what a waste of time.........Daz get the EGR mapped out so no more problems as its isolated shut.

I'm trying to trade it in for something else. I've got the ecu that needs to come out to get mapped so thats a no no
