I have just got VCDS and did an auto scan on my Audi S3 8P (57 Reg) and it found the following:

My car has a RNS-E but I have found out it was a retrofit by a previous owner.

Regarding the fault ‘00858 - Connection; Radio Intermediate Frequency (IF) Output to Antenna Amplifier.’ Is this the common fault that can be fixed by changing the rear aerial amps? Or is this a different issue as I do seem to get poor radio signal in some areas.

The other faults regarding the TV Tuner. As far as I know my car doesn’t have a TV Tuner so does this mean my car hasn’t been coded properly? If this is the case how do I go about coding it properly so these faults go away?

Hey Rob

Just remove Tuner from the 19 gateway coding & also from 37 navigation.

As it was a retrofit & as you had a 2+ unit in before, then yes the antenna upgrade should fix this, if you need that work completed, give us a shout.
