the link above is for the map, just click it and it will take you straight to it, click the blue balloons in your area, a name pops up and just send the user a pm asking them to scan your car for faults/resetting etc. x

That's allot of errors which leads me to believe its a power feed issue, battery or alternator maybe?

    Not a lot really.
VCDS might give you a better explanation of the error codes over the RAC unit.

You can fit another ecu yes, but you need to either buy one with an immobiliser delete, or have somebody read your security codes and adapt the new ecu with VCDS to your car. Very straightforward job, I did one on a mk4 golf a week ago when he fitted a new turbo conversion to a non turbo!

Do you have the log from VCDS, im sure others on here will be able to advise you better before removing the ecu.

I second this notion... The ECU is expensive. Most often there are other problems that may be at the root of your problems and fitting a new ECU may not be the solution. It is probably the most expensive solution! Post the autoscan and get opinions from others before spending on a new ECU.

For example, the low voltage faults - did you have a low battery? replaced or re-charged it recently? Those faults can be ignored if that is the case.

The sensor faults however could be an ECU or it could be wiring. Many of the sensors share a common signal from the ECU that is a reference to the sensors. Could that signal from the ECU have failed? Is it wiring? is one of the sensor shorted and pulling that signal to ground? If a short exists, would it damage a new ECU?

Don't shot gun this repair. Do your homework. Go to erWin and get the wiring diagrams and get your meter out. Spend the time to make sure you know what the failure was and fix it right.

Not sure what is but it could be a road speed sensor or reverse light switch both guesses though.

looked back at your faults and road speed sensor is listed so I think that's it however I would suspect a non start could be due to your camshaft sensor or could it be your timing that's out ? Hard to say could even be a bad battery I think a good vcds session would help though
