can you re code a replacement ABS module with the shareware version of VCDS lite?

Hi, Quick question - can you re code a replacement ABS module with the shareware version of VCDS lite?

i have a replacement module with the correct part number, i'm assuming i will have to code the replacement to the car, is that correct?

the car is a 1998 Audi A4 Avant 1.8 petrol
