Audi A5 retrofitted cruise control.. need help with high beam not staying on

I retro-fitted a whole new stalk column and found that when i push for high beam it doesn't click ... it isn't broken i have a vw caddy and when you push the stalk forward it springs back but the full beam is still on until you pull back on the stalk... my audi doesn't do this and just acts like im flashing someone... is there anywhere in coding i can change the characteristics of the high beam..

You have the wrong stalk fitted.

Same applies to the A3.

Post your car year and the part number of the switch pack you fitted.

Same happened to me when I did my A3. Audi gave me the wrong stalk. Its not a coding issue you will need a new stalk!

It can be coded on some chassis, A5 more than likely & A3 from certain years, post a log of your actual car then we can help further.
