Is it possible?

And is it dangerous to clear fault codes?
If they don't return when you you rescan,does it mean that they fixed themselves or were intermittent?

Sorry bit of a novice but have a touran now as well so I best learn

RT are bringing out a mobile version in the near future but for now it's not possible.

I wonder if you bought an windows xp tab with USB ports if it would work

As Chris said, VCDS-Mobile is due out shortly (it is going to be dearer than the current HEX+CAN interface).

Save the scan then clear the fault codes, they will not ‘fix themselves’ but if the fault does not reappear (intermittent fault) then the DTC will stay cleared.

I cannot see why it would not work on an XP tablet with a USB port (I currently use a netbook)
