Hi Guys,
Can someone tell me which vagcom to buy for a Nov 2001 210bhp S3.
Do I go for the :
Package B - "KEY-USB"
- Enthusiast oriented, portable, expandable
- USB connection or
Package D - "HEX-USB+CAN"
- Professional oriented, portable, expandable
- USB connection

What is a CAN-BUS functionality?

Please advise and thanks in advance.

you wont need canbus for the S3 or any current S3 for that matter. ,

its for newer Audi's that do their diagnostics over "can-bus" a new method of "talking" to the controllers.


if you want future proofing and may have other newer Audis in future go for the canbus version,


I run the hex-usb + can on my s3 for this reason.

i thought on the last S3's they were a k-line and CAN-bus hybrid. CAN was used for the TMC and the DIS.
