VCDS Programming RNS-D TV Option

Hi guys,

I recently got a multimedia adapter for my RNS-D but I have a feeling that I have to tell my head unit that to activate the TV option. Is there anyone who could help me work it out? I have all sorts of VAG and VCDS stuff and also got Autoboss V30. I just want don't want to play around with blocks and bits just in case I will break it all.

Hi,

I believe it is my father is a professional so I don't think he would be using cheap Chinese fakes. Although he is using all diagnosing equipment only towards fixing cars not really to carry out mods like this.

I know that RNS-E is better but I don't have a need for that and besides I would have to adopt it to the car which is probably more hustle than enabling TV in my RNS-D.

Adaptions to use an rns-e are minor & tbh much better unit than the rns-d mate trust me as I had an S4 B6 03 that had the D & it was tbh fairly rubbish in comparison to the E version.

I agree with all you are saying here. But it isn't cost effective for me to do that. The question is can I turn on the TV option in my RNS-D and how do I do it? I will look into buying RNS-E just for sake of it.

Is it easy to pull a full log from VCDS? Was looking at FAQ on the forum but couldn't find it. 30 second lesson on how to full log with VCDS?

On the main screen on VCDS press Auto Scan and select the ad from the drop down menu, save the log when completed and paste contents of the log into a reply box on this thread.
