1999 A6 ABS purge, VCDS full or shareware needed?

Hi, I need to replace the ABS pump on my partners A6, but shortly after buying a VCDS cable I foolishly decided I wouldnt be needing it and sold it on. Now, can I get away with using a shareware version of the software, and buy a cheepo cable to purge the ABS, or is this something I'll need the full version to do?

If you mean bleed it through, then that would be a basic setting/adaptation, cant recall which, of which the shareware will not do, so either a registered software using a dumb dongle or a genuine hex-can-usb cable of which I sell.
