My B7 that I just picked up doesn't warn me when the seatbelt is unplugged, strangely it doesn't warn me when the lights are left on accidentally... Are these two linked (central convenience?) or easily re-activated?

Does the DIS show the drivers door open.

The seatbelt chime could of been coded out.

I wonder if that will fix the lights-on chime too? That's the more annoying of the two issues!! Anyone around MCR/West Yorks with VCDS?

Check your seat belt clip by center console & see if it has the wire going up the side, if not then it wont have the chime anyway regardless of coding.

Do you have the coming/leaving home system fitted, check the headlight dial for the auto position, as this wont chime if its in that position.

I can confirm there is a cable clipped to the side of the seat belt "receiver".

Sadly no CH/LH lights, but would be nice to add them at a later date! :)

Then coding would be your next step.

Do you know if you can disable the lights-left-on chime through VCDS?

I suspect something with the door lock is causing this, common issue on variety of cars.

OK thanks, will connect a VCDS and see what codes there are.
