auto window wind no longer working - help!

Hello all,

My drivers door window motor gave up and so i replaced it with one from a breakers yard. Now I just cannot get it to do the auto wind (one touch winding).

Is there a special procedure/something i need to code in vcds to get it working again?...it works manually (having to hold the button until it is down/up)

have you tried
from closed hold down to open when open keep pressed for a few seconds
then same again up hold for a few seconds then try
i had to do my kids a3 today had to hold the switch for around 20 seconds
