    tdi graph button?

I can't find the tdi graph button?

I have the latest vcds lite and it is registered.

I have followed the instructions on ross-tech website but the buttons won't materialise?

Car is a 2002 A4 2.5 TDI quattro with AKE engine?

what am I doing wrong? Have just changed all the belts and rollers all seems to run nice just want to check the pump timing!

    Thanks

I used VCDS Lite around last Christmas for the same reason, and although the graph was there with that version, the V6 TDi engine wasn't supported! You can check the timing just using the figures, but the graph REALLY is so easy. You only get the graph in the engine basic settings where you get the adjustment. (I think it is Basic Settings 4), so it could be worth checking again in case they upgraded the Lite
I had also registered, so just bought a lead from them, they knocked the registration fee off the price and it took about 3-4 days to get to me - at the time UK stuff was taking 2-3 weeks!
Also don't be alarmed when your car starts 'hunting' every 10 seconds during your check, as the test swings the advance back and forth to check it.

2-3 weeks, never taken me 2-3 weeks to deliver any vcds cable to a customer in several years, who were you asking for the genuine kit, usually if you come to me its within a few days & mostly next day

If you have a genuine registered vcds whether full on cable or purely software license, then best bet is to contact support@ross-tech.com as they will be able to troubleshoot if there's something amiss.

Did you quote your license number & your info so they can identify you as a genuine user?

    Well i've had a reply............................................. ............................

VCDS-Lite does not support the TDI timing checker on the AKE Tdi, but
the current release with an intelligent interface does. You can however
use VCDS-Lite in combination with the instructions in the repair manual
under "Dynamically checking and adjusting commencement of injection".

The prerequisites are the normal coolant temp. readings over 85* C and
engine at idle. Basic Setting group 004 is used and the specs I found were:

    004,2 = Specification: “retarded”
    004,3 = Specification: 2° ATDC ± 2°
    004,4 = Specification: 100%

The actual adjustment is much more involved than the 4 cylinder engines
we have in the US, so I'd recommend using the repair manual and special
tools if any adjustment needs to be completed.
    .................................................. ...........................

looks like I neeed an intelligent lead? Will check the figures as above anyway.

When changing the belts/rollers I followed the service manual so hopefully he timing is correct.
    Fingers crossed lol
