Disable Tyre Pressure Warning?

Hi all,

Recently bought an S4 with non-standard alloys and the tyre pressure modules weren't swapped over.

Fundamentally missing the 4 modules so the tyre pressure alert fires up on the dash each time I put the car in gear.

Can I disable this with my VCDS or do I need to replace the modules and re-calibrate?

That depends on what platform vehicle this is and which modules are installed. Post the Auto-Scan and the 10th digit of the VIN if you edit that out.

TPMS is a Federal requirement for US light vehicles produced after September 1, 2007 including all 2008 and newer Model Year cars. I'm not sure what the regulations would be for this particular vehicle. For this reason, I must say that Ross-Tech does not promote disabling systems that are required by law but I don't know in this case...

This TPMS module appears to be a separate module, not an integral function of the comfort module like some vehicles. You may need to locate and unplug it, but try this first:

The Gateway Installation List is an internal set of adaptation channels in the 17-Instrument cluster. Read the value of channel 061 and remove 512 (TPMS) from the original value and save the new value to that channel. After saving that value, cycle the key and see if the light is still on.

If the light is still on, locate that module and try unplugging it or locate the fuse and remove power so it does not communicate any longer.

The warning light hasn't appeared so will go for a proper spin tomorrow to see how I get on.
