VCDS Security code?

Hi

I recently retrofitted a bluetooth module to my car (2007 A3 8P) and also RNS-E.

Today I had a go a recoding using VCDS but came accross a problem, I selected the modules for Navigation and Telephone in the CAN BUS tick list, then went to code the modules, the Navigation module was fine to code but when I went to do the Telephone module I cant access coding?? I have to first enter a security code? I havnt a clue where to get this code a search on tinternet says that often VCDS will tell you a code to use when you click the box to enter it but this is not the case??

Any help would be great as the RNS-E still does not recognise telephone/bluetooth?!

Thanks for the reply, Ive checked the wiring and it all looks to be as it should as per the diagram..

Im really stuck as loads of people have put bluetooth in and no one seems to have had to enter the security code before coding the 77-Telephone module?

As far as I can make out I just need to enter the security code then it will allow me to code the module, does anyone know where I can get the security code from other than the dealers??

also have you coded gateway to recognise address 77 is installed and is the phone control unit the correct one

I dont at the moment mate as im at work, which bit are you refering to??

When others have fitted bluetooth is it simply a case of selecting telephone on the can bus list then going into module 77-Telephone and coding it??

your p/n KTC 364 31P HW is a fiscon so no need to code it

just encode and adapt rnse to add the bt function

RNS-E Address 56 0xxx?xx set it to 7 (for USA it has to become 6)
The head unit need to have a software index of at least 350

in addition Audi A3 8P Address 19 (CAN Gateway) Byte 03 Bit 7 Telephone
