Is it possible to have a bog standard 1.8t Revo'd, and still get the qouted gain in power. Obviously U'd get a better gain and response with a zorst and filter but say if I just wanted to add a panel filter and nothing more.

Yes it's possible with most chip suppliers.
Adding an exhaust may be helpful on the 1.8T A3, but not massively.
