Just picked up my new 2004 A4 3.0, and I love it. Need more power though. I want to install a chip, or have it remapped, only thing is, I know very little about how to do it. Ive been on a bunch on web sites, but it seems as if the only chips available are for the 1.8T. Can anyone point me in the right direction and help me with some info. on chips and remapping?

Thanks.

"chipping" or "remapping" are broadly the same thing.

The benefit for the normally aspirated 3.0 V6 engine will be minimal (likely only 5-10bhp) and probbably not worth the expense. That engine is so refined and torquey anyway, I doubt you would notice much of a difference, and likely feel you had wasted money.

Probably. The thing about non-turbos are that they are very hard to tune in comaprison to a 1.8T for example. You'll only gain any noticable increase by adding forced induction. Big job, but big gains.

Drew.
