    Chipping an A4

    Hello Enthusiasts,

I have a 2000 A4Q 1.8t that uses a 4xxxxx ECU. I am considering getting a performance chip (maybe APR) but I do not want to have any downtime. Does anyone know a company that might sell an already chipped ECU so I can just swap mine out? Also, I would prefer software tuning my A4 - for example APR's V-Tune software (apparently not compatible with my ECU). I live in rural Oregon (USA) and don't have a performance shop within 100 miles. Anyone know of a product I can download or buy online?

    Thanks!

    MG

APR usually takes about 5 minutes to chip you on site cos its thru obd..
since its so far only way with no down time is to get a spare ECU, post one to them, they may be able to chip it that way and send you that back, though they may need the car..

sorry i'm not of more help, companies are very protective of their codes, i can't see them letting you download it..

Anyone used anyone besides APR for chip tuning in the USA?
