de-cat? apparently that will release up to 25bhp though you will fail your MOT, powerflow will offer this and before your MOT will replace it, a chip will only give a small gain for a large amount of money and maybe a sealed induction kit will give a slight improvement.

There is no way you will free up 25hp by a simple de-cat! If this were true I would maybe get an extra 50hp on the rs4 as there are 2 cats!!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh_roll.gif

I agree, no way a de-cat would release 25 horses, maybe 2.5!!

Dont think there really is alot to do unless you go for an engine tune.

i only mentioned 'aparently' i i thought that powerflow were telling some long stories in order for me to spend more money with them!! nothing changes really

so there's no "real" noticable increase with "de-catting"?? any other cheap, simple "non insurance booster" mods??? what would a decent air filter, some good plugs and leads and de-cat do?? what would an air intake rediverted to draw in air from outside of the engne bay do? Sorry for the dumb questions!
