Hi - I am picking up a 2002 A6 2.7t quattro sport soon and I am wondering who I should get to remap it.

I have done a few searches and found quite a few tuning companies but I haven't found many 2.7t owners who have had their cars chipped but I am sure they are out there!

So, 2.7t owners:
What have been your remapping experiences?
Who remapped your car?
What were the power/torque claims and did they deliver?
Have you seen any changes in mpg?

Everyone else:
Who would you recommend remaps my car?! :racer:

Thanks in advance!

I've got a 1.8T S3 but still thought I'd answer;

What have been your remapping experiences?
Got a Custom Code Phase One after having a Revo Trial. Revo was very agressive whilts the CC is very smoooth through the range. Main issue was that they could not write the CC code to the ECU so it had to be sent off to be recoded - took three days. Other mods are uprated TIP and boost hoses but all else is standard - the car does feel and behave noticabley quicker and sounds good.

Who remapped your car?
Storm Developments (a CC dealer) in conjuction with Custom Code

What were the power/torque claims and did they deliver?
Have not rolling roaded it before or after to cannot give any definite numbers. On paper it has gone from 225hp to 260hp and 206lb/ft to 260lb/ft. 0-60: 6.6 to 6.0

Have you seen any changes in mpg?
Initially was 22mpg as I was booting it everywhere now it is at 30mpg, not bad when prior it was at 30mpg. I mainly do A roads with the occasional B road thrown in.

Cost:
£446.50 back in 2007 now they offer it for 30% cheaper!! don't know if this is the case for 2.7t though.

On who should remap - personally I found having someone local useful then trying to sort it out with someone based 100 miles away. Plus it then helps out in the future that you can go bacl to the same specialist for any future work.

In all cases - just get it done!!!!!!
