Problems with Boost - Any ideas?

Hi - just wondered if anyone else had experienced this before...

I've had a BT upgrade and recently experienced problems with boost - put my foot down and it's completely flat. Turn off the engine, turn it back on again...and hey presto! It SEEMS to come back...very strange.

VAG is reporting error code:
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)

Replaced a suspected split in a pipe and changed the DV spring to blue.

I have had a botch a fix recently - a pipe going to the recirculating valve had split - so I've just managed to fit the valve straight on to the pipe where it had split and secured it with a jubilee clip - this couldn't cause a complete drop in boost.

Any help would be greatly received.

Thanks for the info. Would be worthwhile having a look, unfortuantely I've had no time off over Christmas and won't have until later in Jan. Will get in touch when I've got some holiday and we can book it in then.
