We have now fitted the latest in our range of turbo kits to our Audi TT race car.
This is an end of season attempt to climb the grid in the 2007 Dunlop MSN Saloon championship.
The car now runs 82.5mm Wossner forged pistons and our own forged rods.
The turbo is a Garrett GT2871R.
Early testing has been limited, but hopes are high for this weekends race meeting at Brands Hatch.
As with our smaller turbo kits using the GT2860RS, we intend to fully test the boundaries with this turbo so we can pass down our experience and development to our customers.
All Forum members are very welcome to come into the paddock and say hello. Racing is on Saturday and Sundat at Brands Hatch along with the big trucks and more.
See you there:thumbsup:

would be very interested to see what you have done with it.
I am about to fit this to a 2l 20v (83mm bore and stroked 1.8t)
Have you had it on the dyno?

Aye I'm interestd in how you get on with the the disco potato project guys.

well i saw you there, a friend was racing in Formula Woman so had some free tickets. noticed the Audi DNF'd. what went wrong? meant to pop over and have a chat but got dragged home before i got a chance. noticed Birley's? escort cossie doing usual 1st place, i used to help out in euro saloons and at brands that damn cossie was too fast then.

The TT went really well at our shakedown at Turweston Airfield. Although due to time constraints we decided to run it with a manual boost controler set at just under 1 bar.
Good to see a few guys from the forum at Brands last weekend. The new sponsors Babeworld.tv certainly helped to draw some attention from the 20,000 spectators.
At Brands on the Saturday we really struggled with mid corner grip. Qualified a rubbish 19th (Grid of 32 cars). Got a bad start in race 1 and managed only 17th.
On Sunday out of pure frustration I refitted the N75 WGFV. I went out in the main race and got a great start but 2 cars rolled on the 1st bend and the race was restarted. On the restart I got a bad start, but the car was flying. Unfortunately on the first lap a coil pack let me down and I had to pull in. Only the 2nd DNF in 2 and half years. Not a bad record.
We are going to be developing a lot more parts on the car over the winter and I will keep you all posted. When the mapping is complete on the GT2871, I will do some dyno runs.

Mark
