Hi guys,
Just bought an s3 and want to get that bit more power out of her!! Can you tell me through your own personal experience, which dump valve to get, which remap to get and what exhaust to get??

I dont want the car to sound really loud and ear damaging!! Just want the car to sound subtle and head turning at the same time when planting it!!

Thanks

HI Clarky, i was going to ask the same, shame because i remember there was a good poll lurking on here about which remap everyone went for etc. Can't find it now.

I believe the popular ones on here are:

AMD - Smooth delivery.
MTM
Revo - Slightly more agressive power curve?
GAIC

And various custom remaps ie
Jabba custom Remap

I stand to be corrected here as im still trying to make my mind up myself. I was pondering a custom remap thinking a bigger intercooler and new exhaust system may alow a bit more, although am i really going to notice 15bhp improvement?

I've got an MTM custom remap plus Miltek cat back exhaust. MTM are not the cheapest but oodles of torque (311lb/ft in my case and 261bhp) QST in Haywards Heath are the only UK supplier, and as a supplier, they are bit 'Marmitey' - i.e. either you like them or you don't....

Hehe, how much did the MTM remap cost Jason, and did it include RR?

Revo is popular but everyone to their own...I had it and haven't looked back, its quick for me early in the gears(5.8s-0-60 my best) it seems to make my mpg go up and I can switch it back to stock (and have done loads of times)
DV-diverter valve you need is the forge 007p jobby and supersprint exhaust are meant to be good but all this advice can be undone by another member who uses different and gets top results so ultimately its your choice, look through the site
all the best

just had a remap done off ebay, his web site is
more-bhp.com
found his website on ebay, he is advertising the remaps for s3 at £132.00 i thought that was way too cheap, but decided to have a try and see how it went, i have got to say it was an extreamly quick turn around, sent ecu off on monday morning and got it back on wednesday morning, put it straight on and went for a spin, i was well chuffed with it, he advertises an additional 45 bhp and i think it is about right, power band is similar to before except when turbo kicks in there is much more power there, i thought spending £400 to £600 on a remap was redicilous.
because it is a postal remap there was no rolling road, dont waste time buying a dump valve get a recirc valve to replace your exsisting one, after the remap if you get it done, the standard one probably wont last long with the extra boost pressure, it will split,

Nice one foolish3uk, fairly brave to send someone on ebay your ECU(!) but sounds like an option though, i'd be interested to see how it performs against an MTM AMD or other similar alternative, have you compared with anyone similar who has parted with lots of cash with the big boys.

Hi Guys

We are looking to get a few customers off the forum, as we do alot of work from the TT-Forum and Seatcupra.net forum, but are looking to show what we are capable of here too.

Feel free to contact us. For a small review, I'm sure we can arrange a discount for a couple of members.

We specialise in VAG. Bit scary sending an ECU off to an Ebay tuner. Power is one thing, but long term reliablility is another.

Any questions please contact us at info@p-torque.co.uk :icon_thumright:
