Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some info i have a 1999 A3 Sport 1.8
which seems to lack somewhat in the acceleration department
although it drives great it just seems pretty flat on the uptake i've already
had a MAF fitted recently due to it having a intermittent flat spot, which i must admit did make a very slight difference but still seems relativley flat.
I was thinking of getting the ECU remapped but to be honest i don't know how much it would cost and who actually does it in the Glasgow area...?
and would it really make that much of a difference if say it was the camshaft that was worn instead..?

Any info thanks

It's a non turbo guys :(
does this mean it's not worth remapping is there an alternative that can give me a bit more OOmmphhh so to speak i don't suppose dropping a fast road cam in will make much difference either as it would have to be remapped for that as well i suppose...???

I've only ever seen cams for the turbo, it would make a difference if you can find someone that'll do one combined with a chip for the non turbo.
