Hello, this is my first post.

I am about to purchase an Audi A3 1.8T Quattro, but have just found out the car already has an AMD remap. When I get the car I was planning to add a cat back exhaust system, enclosed induction kit, uprated dump valve and then have it custom mapped.

Basically with the AMD already being on there, does anyone know if AMD would charge full price to have the car mapped again if I had the above added? I've tried emailing them but have had no reply yet. If they charge full price I may as well get it done elsewhere, if so is there anywhere someone would strongly recommend for custom mapping?

Thanks alot, Lloyd

AMD will probably charge full price. Try Jabba - heard good things about them.

I want to remove the amd map on my car as think it's causing hesitation at certain revs - do you think they'll charge me for that?

Oh I see. Yea even if I dont go back to AMD how does the map get wiped off the ecu? Knowing our luck they do charge to have it taken off!

Yea I think I had a quote from Jabba, cant remember what it was.
