I am new to the forum so please bear with my lack of knowledge /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I have an A4 B5 (I think, 2000 plate) 2.5 Tdi V6 quattro and i am thinking of boosting the power a bit. If anyone can give advice on chips and other mods that would improve the performance i would be greatfull, i live in between Bristol and Gloucester so a garage in that area would be good,

Cheers

Ps I dont have a huge stash of funds /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My Turbochip cost £475. They do a range for the different engines. Adds around 30hp and 50Nm. See threads in diesel forum for other makes.
Alternativel you can try a tuning box, of which there are lots, which is cheaper. Available direct from companies like Tunit, but loads available on Ebay. Again lots of posts in Diesel forum.
Make sure you know exactly which engine you've got before you buy. If you can't figure it out from the paperwork ask the mechanic at your nearest Audi dealer.

I have had a Superchip installed in mine. cost about £500 and gives about 35BHP increase. As well as the extra power, the engine response is more smooth and progressive. There have been no reliability problems with the car after 3 years apart from when the MAF started playing up which I then replaced. The company that did the Chip conversion is Autotechnics in Gillingham, Dorset. They have been around for over 15 years and are a Volkswagen and Audi specialist. I have been using them for about 5 years now and find them very good /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I am getting a remap from forgemotorsport next week via one of there agents in cheshire. They do remaps for pretty much all of the engines in the vag range.
My car is a 2.5tdi v5 a4 cab, and will cost 499 + vat.
They are based in gloucester

Cheers for the info guys, will check this out and hopefully have some fun this summer /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
