B5 S4 re-map

Popped along to Statlers in Sheffield today and asked them about a remap. The guy said they'd do a stage 1 which would give about 25bhp and 50lb/ft torque. Gave me a great price too.

Car is a facelift avant with 97k on it, totally stock and just about every receipt from new and full dealer and specialist history.

I'm guessing the car should take it nicely but wondered anyone else's views.

depends how they go about it, i would want to see proof but 25bhp and 50 ftlbs doesn't sound alot, you could proberly get that from making it breathe and expel better, ie panel filter or cai. and then decats etc.

310bhp sould be easy on a stg1 remap



Stock: 259ps 418nm, MRC Stage 1 Remap: 323ps 531nm

ive done a lot of reading up since buying the car at the weekend but still a noob when it comes to this engine. Was always a g60 then turned to a 20vt boy. This engine I find a bit intimidating lol
 
Try Unicorn as well. Rick has his own S4 and it's a complete beast

Send him a PM, he's a forum sponsor. He's usually pretty busy but will get back to you. Great service, spent nearly 10 hours squatting away my S3 with numerous logging runs and you don't leave till you and he are 100% happy. As an added bonus you can have launch control and flat shift if your car is a manual

The guy said £350 for a mild map, just to increase torque and drivablility, that's why he said it would only be about 280-290bhp. Everyone else says 310-320bhp
 
The guy who did my track day s3 is a VaG / Porsche specialist and has an rs6 , just facebooked him and he adds 45bhp and 80nm of torque to your car !
