Shark Performance In Scotland
The 1.6TDI common rail engine uses the Continental PCR2.1 ECU which Shark Performance have spent many hours developing software for on their chassis dyno and on the road, to ensure a smooth delivery and great driveability. The Continental PCR2.1 ECU is protected with "Tuning Protection" as per many VW Group cars since 2010, and as such the ECU needs to be removed and unlocked before the ECU can be modified. Shark have worked with leading hardware manufacturers to develop a solderless unlock method using precision-made probes with spring loaded pins. As no soldering is required, this is the safest and quickest method to unlock the ECU and it falls in line with all of our other solderless solutions that are available for other Common Rail Diesel and newer TSI/TFSI with protected ECUs.
Stage 1 software is priced at £399 including VAT and increases the engine's performance to a stunning 130bhp with 280Nm of torque
