What about the existing downpipes ect do you need new ones?

whos quoted you for the downpipe? does that include the adapter for the exhaust housing on the turbo, do you know where you get this bit from?
thanks

A company called Heyward and Scott - they would need the car with the rest of the Turbo kit fitted; depending on geography this may be more of an issue for you....

They are here

Greg

Yes - it can take an external wastegate or simply be blocked off with a plate they provide.

Greg

It certianly seems good value for money and they say its good for 350 bhp (WHEEL HORSE POWER!!!)

perhaps its worth a gamble?

Greg would this turbo work with the manifold you bought in error, or even the IHI VF34.

The manifold I bought in error will fit any Turbo with a T3/4 inlet according to the ad I bought it through.

I cannot use it as the GT28RS is a T25 connection (Doh.....)

Greg

so it would be a replacment for a standard manifold.

and a a4 running the K03s

Would it fit the GT28RS if i decide to upgrade at a later date.

Would i just have to get a GT28RS witha T3 Flange?

Neither the K03/4 or the GT28RS will fit the manifold as it has a T4 inlet and the turbo's listed don't.

Greg

Are you sure this manifold fits rhd? Also it's for t3's not the gt28rs.

If you get the turbo from the right place you can configure it to have either inlet flange... I know ATP definately offer this.

Also, check out the GT28R(not RS) thread here...

You should find plenty of info to keep you reading for a while.

I like the look of their stuuf, oooooh!

Did you look at the Porsche video clips???

Sounds awesome!

It looks even better in the flesh - had one of their back boxes on a Subaru I had, an absolute work of art....

Really want a complete system from them once things get fully sorted with the Turbo (and I get some more cash...).

Greg

LOL

Hey... I've been taking a look at the Stage 3 APR kit too...

Hmmm... thought provoking.

They're kit seems to be much more user friendly than the ATP one, it retains more of the standard piping, DV etc. which the ATP one doesn't. Less messing about with atmospheric DV's, catch cans etc.

The only trouble is, it comes with parts that are not necessarily needed, like ECU board which is probably costing a lot of money and accounting for a large proportion of the $4499 price tag.

It does however come with a Stainless CAT... nice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif which, thinking about it, also probably accounts for another large proportion of the price.

But I like the idea of the new intake pipe and the fact they have made provision for all the standard parts AND it bolts up to the standard intercooler. Although you will probably want that changed at some point anyway, it's good to know you can start with the kit and not have to do everything in one go...

Anyway, you can see the kit here if you want...

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/stage3_long.html#

Not exactly sure what turbo they use but it does say Garret so I've asked whether or not it's the GT28RS and if not whether it can be. Also, whether or not they sell the parts individually because at the moment my thoughts are that the best setup would be a mixture of the two kits.

not sure that the kit justifies such a price increase over the atp kit?
