Audi TT hazzard light problem

For some reason only the hazzard lights on the left side of the car seems to work, all my other lights are fine, whenever I press the alarm locking function on the key remote it only flashes on the left side only.
While driving the car I sometimes hear random ticking from the hazzard light button on the dash, as if something is shorting. Does anyone have any ideas....

I recall someone in the A2 forum posting with a similair problem, might be worth checking it out.
