    Oil weight question.

I apologize if his has been asked before (which I am sure it has been), but I am using an iPhone/ iPod touch app to post this, that which does not contain a search feature. Please forgive me!

Anyway, I recently changed the oil in my 2000 Audi TT 1.8T using Royal Purple 10w30 full synthetic and a mobil1 filter. Since then, I have read that it is best to use 10w40. Do you guys think the motor will be ok running the 10w30 for about 3000 miles until the next oil change?

10w-30 will be fine, in fact a 5w-30 or 0w-40 would be even better.

    I would put a 10w-40 into a TT.

    Cheers
