TT Mk 1 face lift ?

Hi people! Toying with the idea of selling my 55 plate A3 TDi 8P and scratching an itch that won't go away ...... buying a Mk1 TT!! During the research I'm doing at the moment I keep coming across "facelift model". Please could some one explain to me the differences between the earlier model and the facelift model and what year the face lift took place? Thank you

I think the facelift took place at around the 05' models speaking of the mk1's
But not much of a diff, just the fron facia, something like shark gills.
Is that what you mean as per facelift?

probably way too late - but the facelift happened around 2002/2003 I have a 52 plate and it had some but not all of the upgrades which were:

20mm lower suspension
18" wheels as standard
Xenons
Aero wipers
Nicer shaped rear view mirror
Titanium coloured headlight inserts

Probably missed a few but I would certainly recommend you look for a facelift version

The face lift model TT was introduced in late 2002 early 2003 and came with the following changes:

18inch RS4 Alloys
3 Bar grill
Lowered sport suspension
Chrome gear knob
Xeons
Titanium headlights
Aero wipers
Newer style chrome rear badges

The rear view mirror changed shape to a better oval design in late 2000-2001.

Not all these changes happened at one but over a six-month period.
