audi tt drivers window fault

hi there i'am new to this so here goes.
i have a 51 plate tt 1.8 225 quattro.problem is drivers window wont lower slightly when opening door and wont operate automatically when flicking switch up or down.hope someone can help.

Hi mate,

Had this problem with mine, found out its quite a common problem where the cover on the micro-switch in the door lock wears away and stops working. Had a go at fixing this myself abt 6 months ago, and all still working fine (touch wood)
