engine .when ilde revs at 1200 r.p.m. when warms up it drops to about 900 r.p.m. ? is this correct ,as audi seem to think so.

I believe most engines have an automatic choke (remember those) now. That would explain it.

yer i know but it dosent happen with the a4. i was starting to think there was a problem with it.

Keeping the idle a bit higher when the engine is cold, helps to warm up the cat faster. Its normal.
