 Hi all. Had a 2000 225 TT and I could hear the dump valve 'dump'. Had to sell due to women, but now bought a 225, 2002, BAM code engine with 120K on clock with FASH. It goes great now I have replaced the plugs and coil packs, but I never hear the dump valve. Should I? Does your TT's valve make a sound? or is mine faulty? I am convinced I can hear a leaking of air noise also, it makes me wonder if the DV is stuck open but the car peforms just fine with good boost. It also hunts on tickover with the odd pop from the exhaust. Been told could be throttle position sensor??? Thanks for your help......

Best way to check it, take it of and push the inside up with a pen and then hold your finger over the top nipple, if the inside holds and stays up then its ok, if no then it's gone mate. Hope this helps.
