Swapping seats on TT RS

Hi All,

I have an '10 plate TTRS and am soon to get a newer '13 plate TTRS+
Problem is the old car has the bucket seats and the new one doesn't - it may sound a bit minor but I really want the buckets.

Audi has offered to do this for £750 which I thought was a bit steep so wondering if anyone knows how simple/hard this is.
Or if a reasonably skilled Audi mechanic could do it?

This should be very easy to do, you could do it yourself! I've just put some S3 recaro's in my 2010 TTRS which needed a bit of fiddling with wiring (connector blocks different) but mechanically they're just four bolts (T55 torx). So, swapping from TTRS to TTRS should be straight forward

Its a spline bolt not torx on all chassis I've worked on.

Yes it is a spline and is very easy to do. When removing its best to put towels around the sills so you don't scratch anything
