I have 2007 TT 2.0 petrol which Ive owned from new and not had any issues with (unless you count the gas strut on the boot giving way and the boot lid crashing down and almost killing me as I was retrieving my shopping, anyway, minor glitch....) Its on long-life service intervals and has only done 26k from new, just had it serviced at an "Audi specialist" garage in May and have since done just under 2,500 miles and the oil light has just come on. Never happened before, I dont drive it particularly hard, it does about 28 miles a day commuting to work! There's either something wrong with the car or the garage! Just wanted to hear of anyone's experiences before I phone the garage and have a possibley unnecessary strop!!

many thanks and be gentle with me, Im new to this!

yes, there's sod all in it. :ermm: So its used the 5.5 litres the garage put in it, I know the TT likes to drink the stuff but covering just 2500 miles is ridiculous. garage have said I must have an 'internal' leak that I wont necessarily be able to see evidence of so I should take it back for them to "investigate" ! So do I top up and ignore whats happened and perhaps be okay or perhaps blow up! Or should I go back to a garage Im unsure I trust :(

It hasn't used 5.5 litres as your engine would be dead otherwise, just top it up & then you can see for yourself over a period of time.

If you ride it hard then it will use it up, nothing new there.
