Turbo spin

Hi

At the risk of sounding like a complete novice can anyone tell me if this is normal. I have just bought an Audi TT (225) Coupe. It is a 2000 W reg car with 23,000 miles on the clock. When I put my foot on the accelerator to accelerate and then change my mind and lift off I can hear quite a lot of Turbo. Likewise when I accelerate hard and then change up a gear. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal...

Thanks for that, I was scared that I might be looking at an expensive fault. So why doesn't my A4 TDi have the same turbo spin?

When u guys refer to it as DV do u mean Diverter valve or Dump valve? sorry if that sounded really stupid but at least i'll know then....
