failed m.o.t.! TT springs.

2000 w-plate TT failed m.o.t and only on the broken rear springs........problem is they are Eibach springs,i need 2 but is there any way of finding out which ones are fitted to the car,they are black in colour and the only numbers on them are1500 102 i dont know how low these spring are 20,25,30,40mm ???????? id like to replace only the 2 but need to know what they lower by.

The m.o.t guy said there genuine springs......i dont think they are as car is pretty low and has 19" rims on it. Eibach 1500 102 is also stamped on the spring.

Any cheaper alternative?

Not trying to sound smart or anything but have you tried emailing Eibach with a pic and the part number?

Good result there! The Mk1 TT's seem to love breaking rear springs for some reason!

lol, i have just had the front offside renewed as it broke it,.. so far the rear ones are fine tho.... mines has quattro sport ssprings as standard,... with the dots on as standard,..



its a 1.8T 225, remapped to 260ish...by shark performance (brodster on here),... it has k&n panel filter, 18 '' rs6 wheels, yoko c drive tyres... tracker, toad full system, bailley atmospheric dump valve, and the rest of the usual refinements,...full leather, heated etc.. xenons with preasure washers etc... V6 front bumper and rear spoiler extension.... and rs roof spoiler..
