Whos gone from 17" to 18" wheels?

I would say it's a little bumpier, but off set with much better handling.

18's have much less wiggle/slivver over bumps....that was the most noticeable difference.

Bit crashier over bumps on the 18's but Edinburgh does have the crappest roads in the country.....

I now understand why people buy 4x4's for the city.....

I have to disagree with Jojo but with the caviat that it depends on the wheels.

By increasing the size you are adding more alloy and taking away air hence normally an increase in weight.

I did this on my TT and ran 18's on road and the OEM 17's on track. The 17's gave a far comfier ride and also meant the car handled better due to less unsprnug weight.

If you spend more money then you can get ligher bigger wheels but most people don't.
