Emissions Control System Light - On

Hi,

I have a 2008 TT TFSI and the ECS warning light has just come on. Its not flashing and is solid.

Does anyone know if this will cost much to repair? And if so, do repairs have to be done at Audi workshops or can i go to a local garage or a Kiwk-fit etc?

I recently had my sound system repaired at my local audi garage and it cost me £850. So a cheaper alternative to an audi garage is preferable!
