Thread: Mods and Admins

Is there a list anywhere of the mods and admins of the forum so normal users can contact them in the event of any problems etc

It has been noted lately that making contact with anyone in "charge" is nearly impossible.

Yeah I'd 2nd that but tbh is there any point in trying.

If they've lost interest then please let me know cause I'd get involved.

Olly isnt part of it anymore tbh as he's stated recently mate, which is shame, Rob as far as I know is still admin but scarce, R88PER is a mod aswell, dont see much of marriedblonde anymore either.

Why is it always the negative angle?
It's very easy to whinge about how badly this place is run etc....yet you are happy to spend plenty of time on here.


For the record...
None of the Mods or Admins own this place, or the servers.
As far as I know, Adam does.

He leaves it to look after itself, with the Moderators doing their bit...
Is that frustrating? Yeah sometimes...if it's frustrating for the jonhhy-come-latelys how do you think it feels for those of us that have been doing their bit for the last 8 years?

But that's where we are.
Adam has other stuff going on.
Olly has moved on...
Rob (Faction One) was doing a lot, but has had personal issues...
And the moderators give up their time to help out, when they can.

Paul (R88PER) and I have recently been given some Admin rights to help solve low-level problems...but we aren't running the show, we (I anyway) know nothing about servers or databases and to be honest, don't want to.

So once again, we are where we are.

So, from what i can see at least half the mods are no longer active, probably explains why the pressure the few that are has gone up i spose.

I appreciate People have problems, but surley there are supposed to be enough "staff" to pass you to someone in a less busy personal situation etc

I know Adam owns the place and has done since the AMD days etc, but again he doesnt seem to answer emails or PMs either. It fraustrating from a users point of view trying to sort things out for the club/forum as a whole when no one is available to give permissin or asssit etc. In these days of copyright/intellectual property etc Noone wants to get done for acting on behalf of the club without full permission etc

It's also frustrating as a paying sponsor - I've been needing to get our top banner changed for a good few months now, but no luck with Ollie or Rob (fair play though if Rob has had personal issues to sort out). I'll sit tight for an update.

As Glen said we are as frustrated as anyone with some of the site issues and recently discussed this and had some admin permissions granted.



Glen and I can amend user details, sort out posts, threads, etc, even hit people over the head once in a while for being nuggets.

So if anyone does have any issues and I can help out I will.

I'm on here most days (normally late on an evening - when the missus has gone to bed ) and also manage on occasion ot jump on here during the day now and again from work.

I sympathise Rich...I really do.
We Mods feel as frustrated as many of you do.

But what do we do?
Stop putting the effort in and throw our toys out of the pram? Or continue doing the day to day stuff and hope it all comes through?

Ok guys and dolls, i have today spoken with Rob (Faction One) and although lately he has had a few personal issues he will be back on board shortly and normal service can be resumed.

I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to post on here, its nice to have a list of contacts available "just in case" as it were.

Any chance of the list becoming sticky maybe as i feel it is an asset to us all.

So now everyone can rest assured that any queries will be delt with in due time, i am sure Rob will add his take on this shortly

I'm still about also.

I don't post much these days but I still try to visit as often as I can.

As an Admin on BS.Net I can assure you all that its almost a full time job, I have to delete about 30 users per day that are spammers signing up despite the human verification system. And also policing to make sure nothing like porno or ads are posted.

It does take up plenty of time and its not even a well known site!

I spend most of my time mooching around anyway, an report whatever i see to help etc.

As i do not currently have a job etc So am willing to do y fair share to help

As many above... I spend an obscene amount of time on the net, so would be more then willing to help out! I also have many years of web\app development experience so would be more then willing to help keep the portal etc up to date :-)

Is there any way to flag a thread to a mod for them to have a look at?. I've had a look around and I cant see a 'report' button? (unless I'm being blind!)
