    How about an Audi-Sport Wiki?

For those of you who don't know what a wiki is.. Its basically a community driven web system, where the community contributes to its contents. The best example of this is Wikipedia. The user does not need to know how to design web pages, does not need to know html and does not need to worry about how it will look and integrate. This is all handled by the wiki system.

An Audi-Sport wiki would be ace!... It could be used as a troubleshooing reference, a source for tutorials and guides etc...

I'm sure this info is all over the forums, but a wiki would structure it in a much better way and allow better searching. Best of all the user contributes.

    Anand

    P.S. wiki systems...

The search feature is a bit hit and miss, if you had all the guides/articles properly indexed, ie under car model, year you could easily browse to your vehicle and see whats listed under it.

Theres a lot of really good information that people might never see as its burried deep inside a thread which may have a slightly unreleated subject and people might not think to look. I've spotted this a few times so personally I think a wiki would be a really good idea of organising it personally.

If AudiWorld knew all the answers why do people regually post information and ask for help on these forums?

Dunno, I guess it just makes sense to me to have all the information in one easily accessable central location in a logical structure. then if people ask the same question twice hopefully by that time there would be a comprehensive guide/article on the wiki you can point people to with all the relavant info on, instead of having to repeat yourself or link to another thread which is where you end up getting topics crossed.

I had my tongue firmly in cheek mate.

Are you volunteering to start the wiki then?

Sorry, its hard to tell on forums :P

I wouldn't mind helping out, but I can't really start it myself due to having no spare webspace ;P

The problem with information in forums is that a lot of it is duplicated across threads / car models and also there can be conflicting information.
A wiki will help organise this in structured form. Conflicts can be easily resolved and repetition is not a problem.

I don't mind helping / setting up the wiki, providing audi-sport can provide the space for the system.
I don't want to do this as a separate site, because Audi-Sport have the following and brand which should help it a shed load.

Just seen another thread, where somebody recommends a register of all Audi specialists..

A wiki would be very well suited to present this information.
