Im using firefox as my browser and not noticed any problems elsewhere but firefox crashes predominantly when im using the search function here ?
I'd try uninstalling firefox, restarting your PC and then reinstal firefox. At times when I've had the odd problem such as that, I've done this and always seems to sort it.
