    Site maintenance warning

Have to say its a very pleasing site to see this, to warn us of impending maintenance in this way, this will save the 10 or so threads asking why it went down lol.

The fact its bang there in large box when you 1st sign in for that given day etc is very good as you have to close it manually to clear, saves people asking the why's, whats etc as the thread way of announcing never really worked that well, no offence

Definitely an improvement, liking this approach, keep it up.

There was plenty of consideration going on behind closed doors as to how was the best way to broadcast it, and I think the admins have done a good job giving plenty of notice, and giving details of the whats / whens / whys etc.

    No suprises is always good!

Hopefully the net result of the downtime will mean improvements for everyone for the longer term.

I'm running a book on there still being people who post or start threads asking why the site was down/was there a problem with the site/I couldn't access the site/I tried to get on to the site but couldn't/etc/etc/etc.

Permanently ban anyone who does and delete their account. Just for a laugh.

TBH Adee, spot on, you'd see thread after thread of this, which is why I think this should of been implemented sooner, but this may have been due to limitations of said software used to run the site.

Anyway its being used now, which is very welcomed indeed, maybe it can be put it to good use from now on for site announcements, thus cuts down on the chunder.

Also helps to alleviate members concerns that admin arent aware of problems or arent to bothered, as admin cant fix problems when they're constantly answering threads to explain the issue as such, counter productive IMHO.

What ever you wrote would be spelt, and more concise mate, i am in a right Friday afternoon state of mind!

That said, I'm chuffed to feck as Apple Store have just committed to repair my MacBook Pro graphics card gratis saving me £575, and I've just used that 'saving' to buy a Casio Frogman GWF-1000 from the Watch shop in Reading so I'm sat outside apple store in the Oracle sipping a latte like Mr Chuffed of the M4 corridor (whilst skanking free wifi). Get in! /On topic!

I would say thats a result to get your mac working, but then you'd be left with OSX to use

I thought only Universal Soldiers wore watches like that, feck me you seen the thing, I mean I spent £300 on a Tissot Touch at a push aswell, but £500 on a Casio, hope it makes a good cuppa for that money.

TBH it probably does allot of very cool things, my dad used to have these type & swore by them, so cant really say much as he was a clever git & I have him to thank for allot of things, so I say go for it

Mate it's like a Sherman tank! I usually wear a TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Edition Cailbre 12, and despite being a fraction of the value this thing is the nuts. It'll be here after Armageddon. Casios are a guilty pleasure, drives the wife bonkers, but seeings I don't have too many bad habits..... And the sun is shining; cue Ice Cube's track, It was a Good Day!! (ignoring OSX)

I think you're right, if you hid inside that watch when ww3 is upon us, then you'd survive, whereas a sherman, not a chance lol.

Have to say was never a watch fan, but the Tissot was nice as it was sporty, not to formal, silicone like strap & well just looked nice aswell as functional & all touchscreen which is fairly impressive for a damn watch lmfao.

    Anyway back to cars.

Love the Frogman! I'm quite into G-Shocks, wearing a Riseman as my daily, but I'd love a Frogman. I'm just worried it would dwarf my wrists a bit!
