No idea who runs the site tbh, but new layout/design is excellent. Much more fresh!

We only know that there is two of them and they live a Howard Hughes type existence being looked after by a religious sect sworn to secrecy in a castle in the Lechtaler Alps in Bavaria....I've probably said too much

If any bugs are spotted can you do a screenshot and post here but give it two days for fine tuning.

I think the links is the result of SEO not having been run yet.

Give it a day of so and see if it updates when the SEO is refreshed

The wide screen is much better aswell, hated that $hite on the right hand side before, never used it at all!

So the site will eventually be red and black? Looks good as is, will see how it goes with black, sounds good thou!

There is more to it than that. Functionality has always been a compromise. This time we are hoping for a more permenant solution with some extra features you all might enjoy, with stabilty to boot

im sure there is,but why change the skin?I aint keen on the washed out look, the ochre coloured text of the last poster on a thread, the pale red bars...i thought my graphics card was playing up.Im also sure that a change of colour has no bearing on stability issues.Change the functionality etc by all means, but leave the skin alone. An 'extra feature' that would be great is to have a selection of skins to choose from.
@FranA3, Im glad you and others like it, but im fu%$"d off with so many parts of my existance that 'change' for the sake of it that its driving me mental. This site was the last straw after firefox updated to 4.0 which also changed its appearance.Ill go and sit in the corner for a while i think

The skin we had was adapted to suit and withe the recent update. just wouldnt work correctly. My chosen skin / sylte of grey folio black is still working.

The thanks are stored in a DB, but again the add on wouldn't interface with the update, so many things are happening behind the scenes to try and set it back up with no loss of current thanks. Other wise we will all have to start again

If you look at this page

    Link -Do I have DIS?

Post 8 is one line with a scroll bar and post 10 is multi line with no scroll bar.

Is there a way to show all the post without the scroll bar ?
OH and i worked hard to get 500 thanks and at 501...they have disappeared. !!!
Also i had to add link to the line above or no one would know it was a link.

O this is not clever at all.
If you sroll up this page with your mouse wheel it scolls the one line posts that your pointer stops on so the one line goes out of view. You then have a page of blank posts un less you click on each one and scroll the posts back into view.

You can see that as i scrolled up the page it scrolled all the scroll bars down so the posts disappear.

That's a normal behaviour of Windows / your browser (Firefox 4.0x by any chance?) and a scroll-wheel mouse. Historically/Normally whenever a window (or nested window) has focus (ie was the last one clicked), it will be the one to respond to scrolling. More recently there has been a trend (and this is why I mention FF4, it seems to have been adopted in that), to make whichever window (or nested window) is under the mouse pointer be the one that responds to a scroll input.

I'll have a look to see if we can put something in place to work-around it; but the easiest way is for you to put your mousepointer somewhere away from nested scrollable windows (ie in the margins at left or right), and scroll there. Et voila, only the main page content will scroll.

    Regards,

    Rob.

I use Google Chrome. I was really wondering why single line posts need a scroll bar when the larger multi line posts dont. ?
IE: your post 44 has no scroll bar and is viewable in its entirety where as the one line administrator post 38 needs to be scrolled to read it ?

Not sure on the scorll bars.. What's that about?

Robs post is large with it's quote and no scroll bars, yet some of Paddys one or two liners have bars.

    Teething troubles i am sure
