Hi Guys,
Just joined this forum as I bought a 53 plate A3 2.0 TDI Sport a couple of days ago
As with almost any used car, there are a couple of things that are not perfect on it and I was just wanting to get your opinion on what to do about them. Any suggestions/comments much appreciated!
1. Sometimes (not every time, but most) when I am just sitting at traffic lights in neutral, the car starts to shake a little bit. Its not a violent shake, more like a gentle bumping up and down. Its hard to describe but basically it is just a bit more noticeable than the normal rumble you would get from a car when it is idling. Someone said to me that it is "the engine timing" ... whatever that means. Anyone got any ideas what this could be and whether or not I need to do something about it?
2. One of the buttons on the dash, the minus button for the fan speed, is very worn (I only know its a minus button because its next to a plus) and to me it makes the whole thing look a bit knackered. How easy would it be to replace this and does anyone know where a good place to get a replacement button would be?
Thanks
Chris
