A couple of the cars in the gallery have these fitted - German style pressed metal plates with the D mark on the Euro/blue section.

Where have people got these from & how much were they?
If you've fitted them, have you had any trouble with the police?

can get them from dubmeister.co.uk or theplateman.com amongst others. the police around northants had been told to crack down on them, never had any trouble myself although i have gone back to good boy plates but just slightly darkened so are borderline legal!

I understand quite a number a police forces are cracking down on all sorts of illegal number plates. Mainly because they are more difficult to read with the Number Plate Recognition cameras fitted into patrol cars.

If their camera will not read the plate they stop the car!!

I have had my past two sets from europl8.com

they are an ebay shop and charge £19.99 for a set of plates and free p&p within the UK

Excellent plates, reflective and grea quality

My lettering is of correct height and distance and as of yet, no bother from police :busted_cop:
